SELECTION PROCESS
- The class selection process will be conducted each spring for the next Fall Semester. There is no waiting list that carries over from year to year. Letters of acceptance, alternate, non-acceptance into the Dental Hygiene Program will be emailed to applicant after the review process is completed. This information will not be given out over the phone. Do not call or email for status updates.
- It is recommended that you add the following email to your contacts list in order to reduce the chance an email sent to you would be in your spam folder: ydavis@santarosa.edu
-
At the close of the application period, applicant names will be sent to the SRJC Institutional Research Department for the randomized selection process.
Accepted Applicant Pool
The first 24 qualified candidates selected in the randomized list will receive notification via email after the review process is completed, letting them know that they have been accepted into the program. This group will be given 2 weeks to respond to the invitation to join the program.
Alternate Applicant Pool
The next group of qualified candidates selected in the randomized list will receive notification via email after the review process is completed, letting them know that they have been accepted to the Alternate Applicant Pool. If a student selected in the Accepted Applicant Pool is no longer interested in the program, the alternate pool candidates will be used to fill the class, beginning with the first person on the alternate list and proceeding through the list.
Non–Acceptance - Students not selected into the program
Students whose randomized number was too high to qualify for this year’s class and/or students who did not qualify will receive notification via email after the review process is completed letting them know that they have not been accepted.
